The MD discovers that staff members are using an adjacent plot of land as a car park for vehicles bought through the school's cooperative. Suspecting theft, she is shocked to find the cooperative holds N95 million.

She views the staff's financial independence as "hanging a snake in the roof," fearing they might start their own rival schools. The board subsequently restricts loan amounts and increases management oversight.
